This 3840 square meters big is also home to the famous and the strongest water falls in the world at Murchison Falls where the mighty River Nile explodes through a 6-metre gorge falling 43 meters to form the most dramatic and hardest waterfalls along its 6650km journey to the Mediterranean.
You will be met on arrival by your our driver guide who will warmly receive and welcome you and will transfer you to your accommodation
You will have an early morning game drive as you once again look out for the tree climbing lions. The Ishasha area also has a very scenic landscape and other animals like the elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and variety of bird species. You will later proceed to Bwindi National Park the home of the endangered Mountain Gorillas.
Rise up early and leave for your gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the highlight of your safari. You will walk along rugged foot paths, through entwined vines and round mud puddles for the next two to seven hours. When you finally find a gorilla family, the tiring experience will be rewarded by staring at close range as these tropical forest giants behaviour and you are allowed a one hour window in which to behold them. After an hours encounter with these gentle giants, you will graduate and join the rest of the world who describe this as the greatest highlight of an adventure in Uganda.
Today you will wake up and have a relaxed breakfast before you embark on the journey back to Kampala through the rolling hills of Ankole where you will arrive in Mbarara in time for lunch after which you will proceed through the equator to arrive in Kampala later in the evening.
Your driver guide will pick you up early from your accommodation in Kampala and head north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white rhino tracking. Founded in 1998, Rhino Fund Uganda works to reintroduce black and white rhinos into Uganda. They run a breeding program, as well as working to educate communities on these endangered giants, the problem of poaching and the need for environmental conservation. In the Rhino Sanctuary you will have a safari-hike to the rhinos which will give you the opportunity to view them at close range. After having lunch, continue to Uganda's largest national park.
After an early morning breakfast, you will set out for an early morning game drive while the animals are the most active. In the early morning hours animals are the most active, the sun is not yet so bright and temperatures are cooler. A drive through the park up close with the African animal kingdom: You are likely to spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and a variety of tropical birds. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat safari to the bottom of Murchison Falls. You are likely to see Nile crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds and a variety of animals that come to the drink water at the banks of the river Nile.
You will walk up early and have a guided safari walk with a ranger, return to the lodge for breakfast before you return to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight back home.
