Introduction

It is the park with most of chances of viewing the 4 of the big 5 of the game as you with the exception of the Rhinoceros. This 3840 square meters big is also home to the famous and the strongest water falls in the world at Murchison Falls where the mighty River Nile explodes through a 6-metre gorge falling 43 meters to form the most dramatic and hardest waterfalls along its 6650km journey to the Mediterranean.

Day

You will be met on arrival by your our driver guide who will warmly receive and welcome you and will transfer you to your accommodation.

  • 8am - 4.30pm

After breakfast we start the day with a city tour through the bustling capital of Uganda. Immerse yourself in the traditions of the Kings of the Buganda tribe at the Kasubi Tombs, visit the Namirembe Cathedral and explore the African Craft Village for the most authentic crafts and arts. You will enjoy a local cuisine and visit the museum where you will learn the history of Uganda.

  • 8am - 4.30pm

You will be picked from your hotel and transferred to Jinja for a full day of adventure as you raft the white waters of the Nile starting at the Source of the Nile. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and thundering rapids of the White Nile and do not forget to watch the incredible birdlife as you drift quietly between the rapids of this mighty river. If you prefer a more peaceful experience can also decide to go for a wonderful river journey instead of choosing the wildest rapids, we drift swiftly between beautiful forested islands, bounce down smaller rapids and explore the least known channels.

At 7:30am we shall depart for Murchison Falls National Park. You will stopover at the amazing Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will get to encounter the magnificent Rhinos and have lunch before continuing to the Murchison Falls National Park. After checking into your Lodge you will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy being pampered by the friendly Lodge staff.

  • 8am - 4.30pm

After an early breakfast, we transfer to Murchison Falls National Park to among the first Guests to explore the wildlife along the newly launched honey mooners track. They animals on this track are still shy, having lived in isolation for long. The animal checklist is as impressive with herds of Uganda Kob, Jackson's Hartebeest, Cape buffalo, waterbucks, oribi, warthogs, elephant, and even sightings of lion. You will later visit the Top of the Falls where you will be rewarded with amazing views of the Nile.

  • 8am - 4.30pm

After an early breakfast we start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. After lunch, the safari will continue with a boat cruise on the river Nile for game viewing at close quarters.

Have a relaxed breakfast and prepare for a calm transfer back to the capital with lunch en route arriving in Kampala in the late afternoon. You will be dropped at the accommodation place of your choice where you will pay directly. (B, L)
