Going on water falls loop trails, walks on the river banks, birding in the forest, nature walks and Gorilla tracking which is so far the best wildlife experience on the Continent of Africa are some of the activities travelers can get involved in. Besides that there is also a cultural activity by one of the oldest people of the Great Lakes Region the Batwa where you will be introduced to their culture as you get educated in their traditional way of life in the forest and how they survived from the old times.
You will be met on arrival by your driver / guide who will warmly receive and welcome you and will transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala.
After breakfast we start the day with a city tour through the bustling capital of Uganda. Immerse yourself in the traditions of the Kings of the Buganda tribe at the Kasubi Tombs, visit the Namirembe Cathedral and explore the African Craft Village for the most authentic crafts and arts. You will enjoy a local cuisine and visit the museum where you will learn the history of Uganda.
Today, your driver/guide will take you to Bwindi National Park –The home of the endangered mountain Gorillas. En route, you may have a game drive once again as you leave the Ishasha area or visit community projects and learn how the neighboring communities leave alongside the park.
After enjoying an early breakfast, you set off gorilla tracking. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Tracking in the Bwindi forest requires stamina and can often take most of the day. After an hours encounter with these gentle giants, you will graduate and join the rest of the tourists who describe this as the greatest highlight of an adventure in Uganda. Guests are always given a certificate of encountering the Gentle Giants.
After an early breakfast, filled with a gorilla experience of a lifetime you will say good bye to the Pearl of Africa as you depart for Kampala through Mbarara where you will have a hot lunch and proceed past the equator for last minute shopping before you are transferred back to the Airport for your out bound flight to your homme or the next destination.
